After being a member at Epinions for nearly a month now, I wanted to report my experiences with this site. I have written 4 articles on different products during this time, with terrible results. Each article took me about 45 minutes to 1 hour to write. I tried to offer the best opinion and review possible, which took more time than I previously thought.

Since I am searching for residual income, I focused on products that weren't exactly hot and new items. I wanted a consistent income over time, not one that would quickly fizzle. For instance, if I wrote an opinion piece on a new movie, the earnings and views would surely dwindle once the movie had been out for awhile. Articles written for eHow, will continue to produce a nice income as long as the information is unique and helpful.

I wrote 3 movie reviews, and 1 CD review all of which accumulated 67 views. The problem is that traffic is light to Epinions, and 65 of my 67 views were from members on the site.

Now the worst part is I have earned exactly $0.00 for my efforts, and I don't expect that to change. As I stated before, I plan on cutting this site out of my writing schedule. It may work for others, but I would rather focus my time on sites that pay better and receive more traffic.
