RedGage is a social bookmarking site that pays you to submit your content. You can submit blogs, pictures, videos, documents, and links to earn money. The best part is you can automatically have your content uploaded to RedGage from sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, and Blogger. If you have other content to share, you can upload it to the site within minutes. RedGage pays based on the value of your content, which is measured by the page views your content receives.

One of the more intriguing aspects of RedGage is the bonus payouts you can receive. I wouldn't classify this as part of my residual income since it is a one-time payment, but the extra income is always nice. If your article is chosen by a RedGage moderator to be a featured article, you will earn a bonus payout. The bonus is calculated based on a number of factors such as quality/rating of work and level of activity. Most of the bonuses I have seen are around $4-$5 with some as high as $20.

I signed up with RedGage last night, and I have already seen results. By results I mean a $.01, but I'm just getting started. Last night I uploaded two eHow articles, and I uploaded two more eHow articles this evening. I have received 16 views on these 4 articles, which has earned me $.01.

The rate at which you earn varies from user to user, but is based on your quality of work and level of activity. So it pays to be more active on the site. Right now my rate is $1.20 per 1,000 views. It may not seem like much, but I uploaded each of my articles in about 5 minutes so it's not a huge waste of time. You can refer users, but it is not clear whether or not this is advantageous. It may factor into your earnings rate, but RedGage says nothing about it.

I'm thinking the more content you submit, and the more friends you gain, the more views you will get per article. Hopefully, each article will consistently gain a few views here and there so I can add this site as a residual income source.

For now I will submit my Examiner and eHow articles, and see how they do. I don't want to waste a lot of time, if it doesn't produce residual income. I should find out pretty quickly since I have a lot of content already written. Worst case it will provide some backlinks for my articles and blog. This is another great site that takes little brain power, and can fill in the time when I'm not writing articles for The Examiner or eHow.

The referrals only give you more points which are used for the random prize draws that Red Gage does daily, weekly and monthly for $25, $50 and $200 respectively. Unfortunately that's it. Some sites like Bukisa offers ongoing income from referees.
