What Does it Take to get Higher Earnings on eHow?
The other day the article submission tool was down on eHow, so I decided to conduct a little poll. Every month, eHow members conduct a poll to determine the average monthly earnings per article. Every time this poll is conducted it seems like those who have a significant amount of articles, have higher earnings per article than other members.
Why Would Average Earnings Increase with More Articles?
So my theory is that your residual earnings per article increase with the number of articles you publish. This could be from a variety of factors, but it is still encouraging. I figured it could be from experience gained from writing eHow articles, better SEO, or from people reading one of your articles and then jumping to another topic they are interested in that you have written. I'm sure there are many other potential factors that could influence this as well. I double social networking has too much to do with it though based on the social bookmarking poll I did back in June.
The Results of the Poll are Convincing:
My poll asked eHow members the question, "Do you earn at least $1.00 per article per month?" I had 35 members submit a vote, so the results may not be the best sampling. I think the results are clear enough for my purposes though. Basically, there were 15 votes from members who have less than 100 articles. Only 1 of the 15 received at least $1.00 per article per month. There were 20 votes from members who had anywhere from 101-500 articles. 10 out of the 20 claimed that they earned at least $1.00 per article per month. Take a look at the results below:
What Does this Mean for The Residual Income Challenge?
The bottom line is I need to do everything I can to write a couple hundred eHow articles and see if this works. Right now I average about $.35-$.50 per article per month from eHow. If I can write more articles while also increasing my average earnings per article then it will be doubly worth my time. I've come up with a ton of new eHow article topics lately, so I just need to get busy writing. I'm behind on my Residual Income Challenge, but increasing my article base at eHow is a great way to get back on track.

Whoever came up with the $3 per article per month was seriously off in their calculations. I have over 100 articles and I make slightly less than $1 per (on average).
I have 5 or 6 superstars which earn all of my money, while the rest simple take up space.
There are different sites which gives residual income but I do have site which I can give guarantee that you can get residual pay, by doing online marketing.residual Income
$3 per article per month is outrageous. I bet only one person gets those kind of earnings on eHow. I'm not even sure WriterGig gets that much. I agree, I have a couple of superstars, but about half of my articles still earn something each month.
